During the quarantine lockdown, I decided to start my own production company, A City Productions, that values storytelling on a smaller, more indie scale, producing films and documentaries rooted in Chicago. Since 2020, I have written and directed several original short films across various genres. Additionally, I have directed and produced documentaries exploring comedy and cuisine, as well as award-winning documentaries on The Second City and Chicago Pizza Culture. Below are some examples of my work. In addition, you will find different edits I have made for my YouTube Channel. The photo above shows A City Productions’ humble beginnings during the shoot of our first-ever short film.
My goal with this documentary is to share the magic of The Second City and the art of improvisation with actor and writer Bob Odenkirk and Second City Vice President Kelly Leonard. We discuss their Second City experiences, Del Close, the Chicago comedy scene, the stars they have worked with, SNL, how improv shaped their careers, and advice for the younger generation.
My 2025 short documentary delves into the heart of Chicago's iconic pizza culture, with a special focus on Pizano's Pizza and Pasta. Through an interview with Holly Malnati, the film explores the rich legacy of the Malnati family, pioneers of Chicago-style deep dish.
My 2025 short film, which I wrote and directed, explores the theme of anxiety. Furthermore, it delves into the anxiety we experience in our subconscious, altering our dream state. Inspired by the noir genre, Martin Scorsese, The Sopranos, Francis Ford Coppola, and the Safdie Bros.
An exploration of Norm Macdonald's philosophy on life, death, and laughter through his own words, using archival footage and perfectly timed punchlines.
On the fifth episode of my podcast, we hear from brilliant filmmaker Peter Warren. We talk about his new film, Kill Me, which premiered at SXSW 2026 and stars Charlie Day, Allison Williams, and Giancarlo Esposito. He gives his advice for aspiring filmmakers, writing with music, and exploring mental health stories.
On the third episode of my podcast, I speak with Matthew Salacuse, who is an incredibly talented photographer and filmmaker. We talk about his fantastic career, taking photos of Billie Eilish, filming comedy specials and documentaries with Sam Morril, Mark Normand, and Joe List.
Below are TV Show Tribute videos from The Bear, Better Call Saul, The Sopranos, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia compilation videos.
